Children's Phrase of the Day - Where Do You Want To Go?

1 comment:

  1. Hello ~

    "N'importe quoi" doesn't work here =)
    It would sounds like "anything" whereas we're looking for "anywhere"
    Luckily, we can by litteral with english and french here
    any = n'importe
    where = où
    which gives "N'importe où".

    Another expression closer to the idea of "it's not important" could be "Peu importe"/ Doesn't matter synonym of "Comme vous voulez"/ As you want/wish. (It maybe sounds strange in english for this kind of question, but it works in French without problem)

    Here, using "N'importe quoi" sounds like the woman is making fun of the guy. Not very nice, lol.
    "Where do you want to go ?"
    "Nonsense"

    Bonne continuation !
    =)
