Answer to yesterday's Guess Who segment:
Coco Chanel
Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel (August 19, 1883 – January 10, 1971) was a pioneering French fashion designer whose modernist philosophy, menswear-inspired fashions, and pursuit of expensive simplicity made her an important figure in 20th-century fashion. Her influence on haute couture was such that she was the only person in the field to be named on TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people of the 20th century.
For some reason I thought that we were looking for another actress!
ReplyDeleteBut I wouldn't have guessed anyway because it's the first time that I see this picture of Coco Chanel.
We don't see many pictures of her actually, Karl Lagerfeld who is the designer for the Maison Chanel is very often seen in the media though...
I will have to use him as post in the future. My girlfriend (she's more into fashion than I am, I am a t-shirt & jeans person) says he always wears sunglasses, white hair in a pony-tail, and always has a fan in his hands. Sounds like a true artist.
ReplyDeleteWell, actually he doesn't "use" his fan anymore. But he still has the sunglasses and the pony-tail!
