Quick Phrase of the Day -Upstairs, Downstairs, Push Pull

If you are in a restaurant or someone's maison (house), you may have to ask where the bathrooms are. Où sont les toilettes? (ooh sohn lay twah leht).  The reply may be:

en haut (ahn oh) - upstairs

en bas (ahn bah) - downstairs

Repeat these words all day long till you know them by heart.

Signs on the doors you will want to know (otherwise you might bump your head into one, like I've done many a time):

poussez (poo say) -push

tirez (tee ray) -pull
