Adjectives

Many adjectives have both male & feminine forms that are spelled & or pronounced differently:

amusant(e) (ah mew zhan, ah mew zhant) -amusing
français(e) (frahn say, frahn sayz) -french
grand(e)  (grahn, grahnd) -big, tall
intéressant(e) (ahn tay rehss ahn, ah tay rehss ahnt) -interesting
petit(e) (peh tee, peh teet) -little
joli(e) (zhoh lee) -pretty
fatigué(e) (fah tee gay) -tired

il est français (eel ay frahn say) -he is French
elle est française (ell ay frahn sehz) -she is French

il est grand (eel ay grahn) -he is tall
elle n'est pas grande (ell nay pah grahnd) -she is not tall

il est fatigué (eel ay fah tee gay) -he is tired
elle est fatiguée (ell ay fah tee gay) -she is tired
